The evacuees who have been here since last week left before the hurricane struck and before there was a lot of standing water and loss of power. So we don't anticipate many cases from those individuals.

At this time of year, we're usually operating at 90 percent.

Once people noticed the weather was getting worse, some of them experienced panic and anxiety that caused stress-related conditions such as chest pains, and this led many of them to the emergency room.

Those were usually cuts and scrapes from debris flying while operating the chain saw.

Several of our doctors who were assisting patients on the Coast have come back and told us to be prepared.

Many of them left in a hurry and either forgot their prescriptions or their prescriptions have run out. No one anticipated they were going to be stranded here this long or that they would be unable to get their medications (through prescription transfers).

We usually average 80 to 90 patients in 24 hours.
